At BNG our main goal is the health of our consumers, for this reason we prefer our cookies to become moldy as we see it as a sign of commitment to health reflected in the product, since we try to keep the preservatives to a minimum sacrificing durability at room temperature. (Our cookie is perishable, so after 1 week at room temperature it needs to be refrigerated and this will extend its life for up to 2 months).

ADDITIVES
Such as flavorings, colorings or preservatives are substances that are added to products or foods during their production or processing. These are added to alter the characteristics of the food in order to extend its shelf life and maintain a consistent texture, among other aspects.

DISEASES
Overweight and obesity continue to rise, as do metabolic disorders such as diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol
What has been investigated or found is that processed foods, which contain additives or preservatives, weaken the resistance of the intestine, known as leaky gut, causing inflammation. People are more prone to developing autoimmune conditions, whether it's type 1 diabetes, celiac disease, lupus, multiple sclerosis, autoimmune hepatitis, and Crohn's disease.

Foods with preservatives or additives can cause or worsen allergies.

TO BE HEALTHY
If the consumer had the opportunity to see all the ingredients, such as the additives, their choices would definitely be totally different from what they are making.

Although preservatives and additives will continue to be present in many foods, it will depend on each person to select those products that are beneficial to their health.
